Ask a questionThrow this quilt over the back of a couch or the foot of a bed to add holiday decor to your room. Measures 44”x 53.5”. The fabric is a little whimsical and a lot of fun. The construction of this quilt is interesting as well. The beautiful holiday fabrics were cut into strips. Pieced together to form a tube. Then a special ruler was used to cut the tubes into triangles which were then sewn together. Whew! Each block has a candy cane striped border with bright red end blocks. A few of the blocks have gnomes appliqued to the center using a raw edge technique. Each gnome is dressed in its own festive attire. A Minky fabric was used for the backing to add extra coziness. The red fabric with snowflakes was used as the binding to tie everything together. A simple straight stitch was used for the quilting design with a few snowflakes scattered around the gnomes. By the way, I also sale a large gnome pillow cover that compliments the quilt very well.
